so ive been in taichung these last couple of days… nothing really cool here.. ahah other than getting to sleep on a bed. or should i say “soft” mattress ahah… b/c in taipei im sleeping on some bed that has the hardest mattress ever.. its like sleeping on the floor.. ahah hrm. nothing really to say about this place… but the pineapples are amazing…. no really they are.. oh yeah yesterday i walked by a billiard shop.. but i have no idea what is good etc. =/ but im gonna go check it out again later… well nothing else exciting going on right now for me in taiwan.. hope all is well in cali..

so yeah ive been watching the lakers 2-0 with the spurs.. ahah and i hate the stupid chinese commentating. they dont know shit… ah… oh well better than not having it at all. right now the celtics are beating the pistons. hrm nothing new really to say.. the weather just gets hotter and hotter and stickier and sticker… aha oh yeahh! they have slurpee here too.. well the only flavors ive seen sofar are coke, PINEAPPLE, and MANGO… mango and pineapple are good. supposedly theres others.

the bed i sleep on is sooo HARD. =/ aha like i cant sleep on my side for too long or else my arm starts to hurt. and hard i mean like FLOOR hard. but its an actual bed thing.. wtf right? i might as well sleep on the floor… but i rather not.. bugs =X ahah..

so what did i do the past few days….
friday: it basically rained all day. went out with my aunts and cousin to eat some porkchops then nightmarket oh and wow this place had some really good BOBA nothing like what we have at home.. but i dont really like boba anyways.. ahah so yeah but it was really good and had a different taste. then walked around the night markets. while it rained even more and harder..
saturday: went to Taipei 101 which was the worlds largest high rise.. i dont think it is anymore.. but like the first 5 floors are a mall.. with like all those expensive stores.. aha had some food at their foodcourt which wasnt any good.
sunday: so far i havent done anything yet.. aha so umm more on today on a later post i guess.

oh yeah for all the food pictures i always forget to take it before i start eating…. so yeha thats why it looks weird if it does.

I can’t believe its only been ONE WEEK.. that ive been in taiwan… its felt like forever already…. aha =/.. so i havent updated in a while.. been busy with hospital and then spending time with my cousin! ahah well tuesday they did some stuff where they stuck a needle into pregnant women.. and umm i wont say where. and its not down there… ahah umm then i went and saw how they tested the fluid they got from the mothers. wednesday i didnt do shit just sat around didnt do anything. Thursday was just like wednesday but i saw a fetus that was aborted. and not because the parents didnt want the kid. it was because of some recessive trait that was unfortunately given to the fetus. it was pretty cool yet i felt for the parents and for that little thing that could of maybe been the next albert einstein or something.. but it had complications so it was probably better to abort it. i just hope i never have to feel what the dad had to feel….. but yeah i got today off which is FRIDAY… ahah and its freaken raining.. OH YEAH this past week its been raining everyday.. and its annoying.. when it rains you would think it gets cold right? but when it rains here it gets even hotter =X and after it rains it gets even worse… everythings all sticky and shit.. freaken humidity…

so it was the first time it has rained while i am here. ahah everyone has their umbrellas walking.. well today was pretty cool. went to the hospital and got a tour of the hospital kinda ahah i know where the library, OBGYN office, and the lobby are.. hrmmm and i even have a white doctor coat.. ahah im not sure what it says on it but the doctor was like here just wear one of mine and hes like the chair of some department ahah.. I FEEL SO WEIRD wearing it.. everywhere i walk everyone is looking at me like wth hes a doctor? ROFL… i look so weird wearing it too i think… ahah but cooooooool… didnt do much tho there were 2 doctors that took me to lunch and thats about it. i was there from like 9am – 4pm didnt do anything other than go on the computer most of the time.. ahah and im pretty tired. *sigh* i know from doing nothing… ahhh

So today is sunday and its getting hotter.. ive realized how annoying it is or i shouldnt say annoying but a maybe culture difference? between like Chinese living in asia and a Chinese living in america. my aunts are sometimes just BLAH like STOP ASKING ME THIS OR THAT or why do they make fun of something i do like finishing food? like i ate something that was 4 pieces and everytime we ate somethign else they go oh you gonna eat 4 pieces jokingly.. i dont even find that funny.. but i guess they do? and then when im walking around in the house with my shorts on they always go HEY YOUR PANTS ARE GOING TO FALL.. its like uhh no they arent… and i dont even sag my pants.. ok maybe i do alittle but its not like my shorts are so low its showing half of my butt. GOD… ahhhhhh and *sigh* i dunno theres alot more other stuff thats annoying but w/e gotta put up with it i guess.

OH MY GOD. PINEAPPLE, MANGO, and GUAVA are soooooooooo good here.. im still waiting to get to eat the yellow watermelon and star fruit.

today we went to some mountain and they grew tea there and everything. and theres a stream that has a lot of fish but you CANT FISH.. wtf… and like the fish were pretty good sized. but the scenery was really nice. and there was some OLD road i dunno it was pretty ghetto but i guess thats how my ancestors lived long ago. and then coming down from the mountain we went to… yeah you guessed it we went to eat.. ahah. we had what i guess they call ‘chinese hamburger’ at first i was like wtf chinese hamburger? but it was actually really tasty ahah but i didnt take a picture because we were forced to eat it in the car and we were all crammed in the back and yeah you had to eat it while it was hot. then we went to the Tourist night market i guess thats what it was called its really ghetto there… hrm pretty weird stuff there too.. oh yeah i got roasted corn it was alright. but back to the ghettoness like every 10th store was a porn shop… ahah and not just movies and shit but.. yeah you can use your imagination. but the weirdest thing there was SNAKE.. ahah i remember watching this when i was like 5 but never saw it again.. they take a snake and tie it up and cut it open and drain its blood and drink it.. its some delicacy.. but NO THANKS… ahah but on another note i start at the hospital tomorrow. hopefully it goes good.

so weird ive been sleeping at like 11 and waking up at like 7 FOR NOTHING.. wtf? ahah well i went running at a park randomly in the city its pretty big… but w/e.. its getting hotter. then i watched the LAKERS beat the jazz.. with CHINESE commentating.. rofl.. it was horrible…… but w/e HERE WE COME CONFERENCE FINALS!!!! wouldnt it be great if it was Lakers vs. Boston like the good old days? ahah even tho it was like before my time atleast now i get to see the rivalry they have.. i mean had? then for lunch i ate something my aunts brought home. i dunno what it was but it was good. it doesnt look good in the picture but its GOOD… then went to SOGO which is their like mall ahah its a huge department store with like 9 floors of shit. but oh my god i never seen so many hot asians girls in one place in my life… ahah well thats about it other than the weather is heating up.

i guess i have some jetlag because i was tired and went to sleep at like 11 and woke up at 7 *sigh* wthhhhh?!! the weather is still pretty good here.. not too hot not too cold yet its nothing like home =( well i woke up and we went to eat breakfast at the same place i went yesterday when i arrived mmmmmmm sooo good… ahah then went to go see some aunt and ate lunch at some japanese place.. yeah i know wtf? im in TAIWAN and im eating japanese food.. *sigh* ahah then we went to a supermarket its SO WEIRD their like actual “MARKET” that is a actual “STORE” are all like underground. ahah weird? yeah well thats not all.. i love how they have english as well on their signs.. i dont know if all the markets are like this but their isle signs were funny.. but i guess its ok since its just probably courtesy for the english speaking people. well since being here for day 2 ive already got some good food.. ahah well more like snacks. theres this ‘ice’ thingy thats with dried plumb.. all i gotta say is THANK GOD because its just gonna get hotter and that sheits goooood… and theres the drinks.. like ‘hey song sarsaparilla’ its like the chinese coke? but they sell coke here too… and my aunts arent big on drinking these things.. so i guess ill have to figure out some more drinks other than water and tea.. aha

now to talk about what the title is.. public transportation here is a MUST.. even though alot of people have cars or scooters… public transportation here OWNS L.A.’s i mean everywhere i went today it was all by bus. and probably everywhere else im going is gonna be by bus too.. and subway. but its all good.. since i dont have a car but i do have my international drivers license! ahah but public transportation is going to be my way of getting around. its convenient.

tonight im supposedly going out to eat somehwere i dunno yet but ill hopefully take pics and post it tomorrow or soemthing.. and im going to the night market close to my aunts house.. hopefully ill see some cool stuff to buy… more on that tomorrow too…

the flight kind of sucked because there were no outlets to plug anything so i had to use all my electronics with caution. the seat wasnt comfortable either… and the food was alright nothing special. i arrived at around 5:54ish AM… upon arriving i had a flashback of what it felt like last year when i did this exact same thing. getting off the plane smelling the asianness around me then going to the bathroom then to the visa thingy and then getting the bags and off i go looking for my aunts. amazingly it wasnt HOT HOT HOT like it was last year when leaving the airport doors.. the weather here is actually bearable.. k well nothing really exciting yet.. and thank GOD that i havent been bitten by mosquito’s yet! but im sure it will happen any minute now.. ill be sure to keep an update on that.. ahah.. k well i leave you with some pics i took nothing special but yeah…

Alright well i decided to create this blog thing so that i have a place where i can keep track of what ive been doing. and for all of you who do care to know whats going on with me in taiwan. maybe the good food. or the extremely HOT weather.. or how fat im getting because of the food. or whatever else happens.. ahah

so i leave in like 13 hrs and im not even packed or anything. yet im thinking about taking a nap! all i know is i am going to be bored waiting for my plane and then really bored sitting on the plane waiting to get there. =/ i need some like computer games or some movies… HURRY if you have any you have 13 hrs to get them to me before i leave! ahah. k well that nap sounds really good right now. so PEACE
